During the ongoing COVID pandemic, we are highlighting alternative "virtual" group study spaces.
These spaces may be synchronous and/or asynchronous in nature. Below are some possible options:
Synchronous spaces:
- CANVAS Conference spaces (all students must be within the same class)
- Zoom meetings
- 1-on-1 meetings with no time limit
- 40-minute limit for three or more people
- Free host account required, no account or special software required for attendees
- Request an account from the HUB (if desired)
- Skype meeting
- all attendees must have a Skype account
- Google Meetups video conferencing
- through your Google account; use the start a meeting option
- Google Duo video calling
- all must have a Google account; up to 12 attendees
- Mobile device conference/calling apps:
Asynchronous spaces:
- Google Docs (all must have Google accounts)
- diigo community spaces (store, annotate, and share bookmarks)
- Zotero Groups (share and annotate readings within designated groups)
