This guide provides access to scholarly information in many formats concerning The Examined Life. To supplement course texts, it directs to scholarly journals, full-text articles, books, e-books, open access content, streaming videos, and more.

 

Full-Text eBooks

♦ HathiTrust Digital Library. Preserves and provides access to material scanned by Google, some Internet Archive books, and some scanned locally by partner institutions.

Audiobooks

LibriVox Audiobooks: Listen to free audiobooks on your computer, iPod, other mobile device, or burn onto a CD.  LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain, and release the audio files back onto the net for free. Most of the texts are from Project Gutenberg, and the Internet Archive hosts the audio files.

Search the SXU library book catalog to see what other books are available to borrow from I-Share Libraries.  Books are loaned for 8 weeks with one renewal for an entire semester.
