Institutional Repository

An Institutional Repository is the platform to distribute locally produced intellectual material.

The materials will be indexed by Google, and will be discovered by many other search tools.

The Latest from the Library ...

Materials Included

Our Institutional Repository is intended to house many types of locally produced material, such as:

  • Faculty/Student research projects (Research Symposium posters)
  • Exemplary Student research projects
  • Masters projects submitted in partial fulfillment of required work
  • Faculty research reports (most are not published in normal journals)
  • other University publications (e.g. Mercy materials)

Our current platform:

The library utilizes a shared DSpace server known as Constellation

NOTE: There is a security prompt when entering the server. While it looks as if there are security concerns, it is actually a software glitch that creates this message. Due to the immanent migration to the CARLI server, this error message will remain for the remainder of our time on Constellation. IT IS SAFE to pass through the security warning by using the Advanced button, and then selecting the Proceed option.

Next platform:

The library intends to migrate our materials to a new CARL provided server run on the UIUC campus. This tool is under development and is expected to be in production by the end of 2022.
