Chicago is a great city for poetry--and, if you're in the mood, you can check out poetry museums, poetry slams, and a whole lot more. The list below is just a few of the amazing poetry-related organizations you'll find right here in Chicago.

• The Chicago Poetry Center includes resources for teachers, poetry readings, and a whole lot more.
• Know a poet in kindergarten through 12th grade? You (and they!) might want to check out the Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Award!
• Louder than a Bomb is the biggest youth poetry festival in the world--and it's based right here in Chicago. 
• The Poetry Foundation is much more than a website--you can also visit their museum, celebrating poetry in all its forms.
