EasyBib Citation Service: EasyBib

Use the online EasyBib Citation Service for APA, MLA, and Chicago/Turabian citations, and how to make persistent links

Prepare to migrate to the Zotero service

The library will end its support of the EasyBib citation software after the current year.

As of 2016, the library encourages all users to adopt the Zotero software to capture your citations ... plus capture fulltext journal articles and web pages.

Zotero searches across all of your captured materials, including fulltext PDF journal articles and snapshots of web pages. Zotero will also integrate citations into your papers using their word processing bibliography connectors.

EasyBib

Use the Library's new EasyBib Citation Service to create, save, and export all your citations and bibliographies.

EasyBib is an automatic bibliography service that will help you format your sources quickly and accurately. With EasyBib you can

  • Create your own account (be sure to log in or register)
  • Create as many projects as you want
  • Choose between APA, MLA, and Chicago/Turabian
  • Choose from over 60 formats of materials
  • Write your annotations or notes
  • Instantly export to Word or Google Docs

About Persistent or Permanent Links:

"Persistent Links" connect users directly to a library database or article by clicking a link embedded in a Web page. The link works every time you click on it and will not expire whether or not they are on the campus network.

Do not use the browser url; they do not work for persistent linking. Always look for "persistent link" or "permalink" in the article.

  • Add https://ezp.sxu.edu/login?url= to the beginning of the "persistent link" or "permalink" URL.
  • Copy and paste the new link into your document.
